Millenium Mencia-Garnacha 2008

The 2008 Millenium Mencia-Garnacha was aged 4 months in new French oak barrels. The grapes were carefully selected from 2.5ha of vineyards planted 30-40 years ago in and around the Miño River Valley. Located in “Green Spain”, cooler climatic conditions yield wines that are lower in alcohol content, with soils that are humid and permeable. Yields are tightly controlled in order to obtain the most concentrated fruit.

Deep cherry color with violet reflections. Clean and intense on the nose, with vanillin oak and bright red fruit notes that are well integrated. Medium body and finish, chocolate, vanilla, oak and wild berry notes. Easy to drink with good acidity and mid-palate complexity.
