The grapes come from 50 years old Primitivo vines, cultivated “ad alberello” and whose top yield does not exceed 5 tons per hectare. The harvest takes place at the end of September and the wine is refined for a long time in oak barrels before turning into an extraordinary nectar with a ruby- red colour.

The dominant fragrances are cherry, plum, blackcurrant with pleasant spicy notes. Chicca denotes a very good structure on the palate and a long and pleasant aftertaste. It is an ideal complement to almond pastries as well as matured cheese.

Primitivo grapes are harvested from old vineyards located near the Ionian sea, cultivated “ad alberello”
with a very low top yield per hectare. The colour is ruby red with very nice violet hints.

The fragrance is
very intense and reminiscent of fruit jam and blackcurrant, cherry and mulberry, cocoa and liquorice.
A round, smooth taste with fruity notes and an aromatic aftertast, Papale is ideal with gravy, braised
and stewed meat.

violet hints. The nose is very intense and reminiscent of red fruits preserved in alcohol, plum jam with
spicy notes of liquorice and dried fruits
