Alceño

Alceño is the principal brand of Bodegas Pedro Luis Martínez, founded in 1870 in the town of Jumilla (Murcia). In 1870, an enterprising young wine broker named Roque Martínez founded the first privately owned winery in Jumilla together with two partners.

The Jumilla Denominación de Origen (DO) extends over the southeast of the province of Albacete (Castile-La Mancha, Spain).

Diez Caballero - D.O.C.a Rioja

Spain’s most recognized wine region for centuries is located in the Ebro river valley in the northeast of Spain.

Diez-Caballero is a small, family owned winery set on the hills of Elciego. The winery are producing their ultra-premium red wines from a precise selection of grapes coming from 24.5ha of estate owned vineyards, where the average age of the vines is 45-60 years old. For their ‘Select Vintage’ and Gran Reserva wines, the grapes are handpicked to optimize the ripeness levels in Tempranillo.

In Spanish, there is a saying which encompasses our journey to Mas Comtal: “nunca digas que de ‘esta agua no beberé’”. Every now and then, a wine comes around that is so exceptional, so unique, that we have to change our own rules to accommodate it. That wine was Lyric. (Production 1,950 bottles)

MATSU 2006

Selection of century old vineyards of extremely limited production, cultivated applying the biodynamic technical standards.

Manual harvest that is undergone the first 15 days of the month of October.

The old man on the label of MATSU actually works at the winery, and is 91 years old.

The winery donates 0.7% of all revenues to eco-friendly charities.

Millenium Mencia-Garnacha 2008

The production area in the Miño River Valley covered by this VT is formed by the municipalities of A Peroxa, O Pereiro de Aguiar, Coles, Ourense, Barbadás, San Cibrao das Viñas and Toén.

Under the VT rules, wines must be elaborated with a mínimum of 60% of the following varietals:
Reds: mencía, brancellao, mouratón, sousón y caíño.

Torrederos
D.O. Ribera del Duero

Ribera del Duero is the modern red wine miracle of Northern Spain. Barely known in the early 1980’s, it now rivals Rioja as Spain’s foremost red wine region.

Bodegas Torrederos is a small, cooperative winery located in the heart of Ribera del Duero, close to Roa, a famous village known for its signature roast lamb dish.

Having established that Castilla y Leon is a meat eating region, it may seem odd that it should feature one of Spain’s best white wine producing areas. Yet there are reasons both historical and modern for this state of affairs, and for the evolution of the
Verdejo-based wine from oxidized obscurity into what is arguably the current classic white wine of Spain. The Verdejo grape yields wines that are elegantly crisp, lusciously fresh and deliciously fruity.

Winery Arts presents a collection of special, exclusive wines, that have its concept based around the Number nine. For many cultures throughout the world, the number 9 is considered a number that reflects the concept of supreme knowledge. The number 9 is said to represent the threefold nature of humanity, incorporating the mind, body, and spirit.

Created in 2003, the protected indication of Ribera del Queiles is a place with an exceptional microclimate for the cultivation of the vine that simultaneously permits the working of foreign grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet, and Syrah.
